Love of God Family Church History

In September of 2007, several families started a Bible Study at a home in the country near Elbow Lake, Minnesota. One of the youngest members of the Bible Study named it, “God Loves Me” Bible Study. After only a few weeks, we knew the Lord wanted us to start a church.

Love of God Family Church started in the Community Building in Wendell, Minnesota. For one year, we met Sunday mornings, took turns bringing lunch, and played games in the afternoon.

In October of 2008, the Lord called us to Fergus Falls. The Salvation Army graciously allowed us to rent their church building, Sunday evenings.

In July of 2018, we moved to our new location - 829 N. Tower Road in Fergus Falls and now have our Sunday Service at 11:00am

In May of 2009, the Lord miraculously opened the door of our radio program on KBRF 1250AM Sunday mornings at 7:30am.

In 2010, Tom was ordained into the ministry and joined Pastor Maggie in pastoring Love of God Family Church.

In 2018, John was ordained into the ministry and joined Pastor Maggie and Tom in pastoring the Church.

In 2019, Kelly was ordained into the ministry and joined Pastor Maggie, Tom, and John in pastoring the Church.

“Believing that serving the Lord is a blessing, no one at our church receives any money, not even the pastors. Because of this, we’ve been able to give in abundance, for the very heart of love is giving. Our dream has always been to have our family in ministry together and God has greatly answered our prayer.”
